This page consists of two sections. One section links to articles written by UK Amateur Radio Astronomers about their projects and that are kept on UKARANet. The second section contains links to UK sites of Amateur Radio Astronomy interest. We hope that this will serve as an inspiration for people to try their hand at this hobby. Please feel free to contact UKARANet or any of the people linked to here if you have any questions.

We would like to invite anyone to write up their project and send it in for publication on UKARANet. A few paragraphs with some photos will be great. The idea is to show what amateur radio astronomers are doing in the UK.

• A Simple Decametric Radio Telescope for Jupiter:
  Bob Greef built a simple radio telescope for studying Jupiter at shortwave. He is already getting results with it!
• A VLF Receiver for Monitoring Solar Flares:
  Peter King built a VLF receiver for detecting solar flares.
• The Glenwood Court Radio Observatory, Lisburn, Co. Antrim:
  Mr. C.Clements runs three separate radio telescopes at his observatory, all very advanced.

  Laurence Newell is constructing a 4 GHz observatory for solar observations. It consists of a 3m dish on a computer controlled altitude-azimuth rotator.
